Sample preparation is a crucial yet often neglected part of nanomaterial analysis.
It is usually performed manually which often results in irreproducible data. In this recent ACEnano OpenAccess publication we describe the development and validation of a robotic system enabling a fully automatable and highly reproducible workflow from sample preparation to analysis that can handle powders as well as suspensions and that can be combined with a variety of nanomaterial characterization techniques including FFF, DLS and spICP-MS.
